Music Class on 30 May 2009

This lesson, Ms Maggie Wong invited all the parents to join the parent session, i.e. 15mins before the lesson end. She told us what the children learned in these five lessons.

They learned: do; loud and soft; high pitch and low pitch; the sign of one beat and one beat rest; song of Birdie and three little bats; following to tap three beats in drum; identification of bells and tambourine.

Ms Maggie said they can sit properly during the lesson without parent there. I saw Himyau enjoyed the lesson very much; esp. the bubble times.

One surprised thing was happened during on the way to lesson. We passed the shopping mall 又一城. At that time, there were some music playing by the music player. Himyau asked what is the sound. Then, I just told him, it was some music. Himyau said it was the sound of trumpet. Daddy said he was correct. I felt so surprised how he can identity the music instrument by earing. The reason is due to his young age. I heard from some pianist/musician, if the child has been trained up to use the ear when he is young, he could get the perfect pitch. It means he can use his ear to identify the pitch of every sound. Of course, I hope Himyau can develop this skill during his music learning path.

My good friend : Buzz LightYear!

Himyau asked momi to take a picture with his good friend Buzz lightyear.

Sometimes, Himyau will bring his friend back to school with him; of course, Buzz lightyear will stay out with Auntie.

Can you see Himyau is holding his friend to fly? Now, he always says " To infinity and beyond!" - one of dialogue from Toy story.

Wonderfull day at the beach

It is a wonderful day because it is no rain on our way to the beach. Momi was informed it is a good touching for children on sand; therefore, Himyau always goes to beach in summer. The first time, Himyau went to breach when he was 6 months.

Are you ready for the summer time? Are you ready for your swimming suit, goggle and sun block? Our family is well prepared for this! Let's have a wonderful summer time. I love it.

You see Himyau is so enjoyable! He touched the nature which made by God! Nature is a good lesson for Himyau learning. He saw some insects and wiggly worms in the bus-stop.

After the beach, Himyau's uncle drove us back to restaurant to have lunch with grandma and grandpa. We went to moma's favourite restaurant 聘珍樓. The food is so yummy! In the lunch time, Himyau already slept because he was very tired. Don't worry, Himyau finished a bowl of fried noodles at the beach.

A new "Helper"

Momi has a dream. Himyau will take up most of the housework in a day. Momi knows her dream will come true soon!

Disneyland on 25 May 2009

It is a lovely day with HimYau in Disneyland. He ran and walked around the park. He played the game of Buzz lighyear more than four times. This was our first time in Mickey's house.

When I picked up HimYau in his kindergarten, I told Teacher Tammy we would go to Disneyland after school. She said how lucky was Himyau because his momi was willing to spend time with him to many places. Yes, I agree with her. Himyau, you need to treasure what you have. It is really not a necessary!

Thomas' Friend - Donald

One day, we went to a toy shop. Himyau wants to buy a train of Donald but Daddy said the price there is more expensive than other shop. Therefore, momi tried to turn down your request by asking the color of Donald. Momi thought you can't answer the question but you know it. Momi feel surprised and happy.

Finally, daddy sent it to you in the day of your Japanese lesson. The Japanese teacher told Auntie you are good in the lesson. Therefore, this gift is worth for you!

Himyau is happy to play with his new toy-Donald. Daddy said he played with it without battery, just push and pile up some blocks into the truck, which is a good way to build up his imagination. Therefore, sometimes, toy is good for child in development in some areas.

Swimming class

Every Saturday, Himyau attends a swimming class. Now, he can dive into water for four seconds. He can pick up the toy under water. He can walk along the swimming pool up the air and down the water. All Himyau can do makes momi excited.

Because of the great performance of Himyau, momi will prepare some candies for the reward.

After the swimming class, we goes a fixed restaurant for dinner. Himyau will order a cup of cold ovaltine with no sweet and less ice by himyau. All aunties in that restaurant know himyau and plays with him during our visit.

Who took the pictures?

Him yau does!
Momi shared the same camera with HimYau. Am I worried if the camera will be damaged by HimYau? Of course, no. Because it is a good chance to practice HimYau's hand's movement, observation ability, mechanism......... All these things is more important than a camera.

Peabody

Last Saturday, Momi attended a talk about baby fitness. Actually, Momi believes Health is the most important factor to develop others. Therefore, HimYau will do many exercises at home.

Ready! Set! Jump!

New chopsticks

Recently, daddy brought HimYau a new pair of Thomas chopsticks. Before we taught him how to use it, he knew it already.

Yesterday, he used the chopsticks to finish a whole fish. Actually, HimYau loves fish very much but no rice. Like his momi!

Library visit

Normally, we will go to library with HimYau once a week. HimYau preformed well in library. He knows there is a quiet reading place. We can read at least 10 books in library every week.

Now, we are reading the series of Oxford reading tree. Since this serie is a hot item, sometimes, we cannot find a lot to read. Momi needs to find another series of book for your reading to fulfill your reading needs. HimYau, books is a wealth of knowledge, don't stop reading, momi will support you all.

Music Class - Module I

Every Saturaday morning, HimYau will join the music Class. Why does momi let you learn music? Momi believes music make life beautiful.

This few weeks, you learned: 1 beat, 1 beat rest, loud, soft, high pitch, low pitch, song: Birdie and instrument: Bell and tambourine.

Teacher Miss Maggie said you have improved in this week. Didn't throw the thing out. HimYau, keep doing your best, momi know you can do it.

Playing Film

Him Yau gets the gene from his Daddy who is the film lover. In our home, we have many kinds of film. Him Yau also knows where these DVDs are. He would took it out and put it into the DVD player and played it when he was only 1 year and few months.

Now, his favourite films are Toy story 1 and 2, Wall-E, The little mermaid and Finding Nemo. He knows all the characters in those films. Therefore, he loves Disneyland very much. He will ask for pictures with Buzz lightyear, Jessie, Woody, Wall-E, Ariel.......... Coming Monday, we will go to Disneyland again, Himyau, you can play your favourite game: Buzz Lightyear!

Drawing

Him Yau loves to play "color". He will put much color on the paper and spread them out. Sometimes, he puts the color on hand and make a hand mark.

How dirty on HimYau's face and body? But momi feel it so lovely.

After playing, of course, taking a bath. Him Yau loves only cold water. Even I put a little bit hot water, he asked me to make it cooler and cooler. Are you a strong man? Momi let you take shower in cold water in summer because it is good for health.

Riding Bicycle

Thomas is the best friend of Him Yau. He has many toys, clothes, books and accessories in Thomas.

Boys love transportation, Him Yau too. He loves riding bike. Now, he can ride it very fast because Auntie always bring him to the market with his bike.

Japanese Lesson

Him Yau learns Japanese every Tuesday afternoon. His Japanese teacher told me he behaved well in the class.

Him yau can say 1-10, thank you, bye bye and teacher in Japanese.

Him Yau, keep on working and dose your best, Momi knows you can do it.

Good imagination

Do you know what Him Yau is doing? He is riding on a boat. Everyday, he loves to take the blanket out of Aunti's bed and put it in the living room. He will imagine he is riding on the boat and fishing. Him Yau, keeps on your imagination, Momi will support you because Momi believes hope with Dream.

Him Yau loves to pay the Play-Doh because he will imagine it is a road. He will put the digger, truck, train and car onto the road. He uses the digger to dig out the sand (of course, it is not the sand, it is only the play-doh) and put them into the truck.

Uniform of Kindergarten

Coming Sept, Him Yau will go to a new kindergarten 崇眞. We pick this school because it can provide a bilingual environment for Him Yau. As I know, language esp. English and Mandarine is one of important thing for Him Yau's grow-up.

Him Yau loves the school bag so much. He asked to wear it once he saw it and he didn't want to take it off. Next morning, he remembered this school bag and asked for carrying. I hope he will love this kindergarten and has an enjoyable moment there.
