A letter from my mother to my father

My dearest Wong,

I am proud to be your wife.

When we were in dating, you were a wonderful boyfriend. You always think for me first. You always provided me the best. Although, you haven't sent me a flower but your love is over than everything. I remembered I was a naive girl in the past but you taught me how to be mature in our relationship.

After we got married, you were a wonderful husband and son-in-law. You gave all your things to me. You treated my family as yours. When they were in trouble, you gave your hand without saying more than one word. I couldn't cook well but you still loved me. Do you remember LB? At that moment, we were lost. I asked you not to go ahead on that business because I had no confidence it would be succeed. You promised and gave it up.

After the birth of Him Yau, you were a wonderful husband, daddy and son-in-law. Sometimes, I spent much time and effort on HimYau and forgot your needs, but you still loved me very much. You supported all my decisions (it may be wrong) that I made on HimYau even though it is time and money spending. You respected me so much. You loved Him Yau very much too. Sometimes, he was naughty; you still talked with him gently. You read storybooks and bible with him even you are tired. You brought him everywhere alone when you were on leave. I had a dream! I wanted to travel with my parents. You made it true even though it was a big and hard project; esp. with my mother sitting on wheelchair and HimYau was only 1.5 year old. I knew I was a willful girl. If the thing I want to do, I must do it. I always had many brainstorm but you would match up with me and made it real.

During the second time of abortion, you were a wonderful husband, daddy and son-in-law. I fainted in toilet. You were scared. You were afraid to lose me. You shouted. You hold my hand, called my name and prayed. When I heard you call me loudly, I woke up. I saw you’re scary. I saw your true love. Forgave me that my lack of love in the past. Our relationship was tighter in all these experience.

I am pregnant now. You are not just wonderful but over 101 marks, husband, daddy and son-in-law.

To be a husband, you take care me considerately. You checked my wallet if there are enough money. If not, you put money without advising me. You put my shower towel to the dirty laundry timely. When I vomit, you fry ginger rice for me. You planned all dishes every night. You accompany with Him Yau doing his homework and reading every night.

To be a daddy, you plan the activities for Him Yau with my absence. You go to the beach and concert with him. If Him Yau loves one story and he ask you to read again and again. You will not reject him and read and read even you are very extracted. Every night, you play toy and brush teeth with him and make milk for him without any help from me.

To be a son-of-law, you are willing to live with my mother due to her poor physical situation. After she discharged from hospital, she can’t move well; she always Boo boo and she need to go back to hospital every Tue and Friday 7:00am. You hold her; you bring her to toilet and ask our maid to change her diaper; and accompany her to hospital in the early morning twice a week.

Honey, I know you are very very extracted. I know you love me so much. You always ask me “ I love you, do you know?” I only nodded but I seldom say I love you.

Honey, I really know you love me. I love you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You give me a wonderful life, a warm family and I don’t know what I should do to response your love. I can only say from my heart “ Thank you” and I love you forever.

Uncle Room Visit on 24 April 2010

I love to play with my uncle and sister Yan. They raised two dogs - Ben and Rocky. We and the dogs climb up a mountain near my uncle's house. Rocky is so lovely who lick on my face. All my face is wet.

Concert on 17 April 2010

Today, I with my parent watched a concert about Chinese Orchestra. Harry 哥哥 introduced many Chinese instruments.

BBQ with mother's friends

Today, I went to BBQ with mom's friends. I was so happy because many children played with me. We played kite, sand and bubbles.

Music Class - Module III - Certificate and Report

I have finished all three modules of music class. I awarded with a certificate.

Here below is my comment from my teacher Miss Maggie:

Him Yau shows a great progression in this module. He enjoys listening different genre of music and begins to develop a sense of pitch and rhythm. Moreover, he is able to read simple signs and symbols. Congratulations for his good work.

Easter Holiday Day 5 - Watching film and Space Museum

This morning, mom asked me where you want to go. I said watching film. Then, dad went out alone with me watching the film "Fantastic Mr. Fox".

Afterwards, we went to Hong Kong Space Museum, one of my favourite place. Since it is the lunch time, not many people three, I can play freely. Then, we had Japanese food at 和花亭. I have good appetite so I finish two eel sushi and one 手卷. Yummy!

Easter Holiday Day 4 - Hong Kong Park

Since Mom was still taking rest at home, Dad bought me to a painting exhibition. Afterwards, we went to Hong Kong Park. There is a big cage with many different kinds of birds. Then, we went to the playground. I have a wonderful time with my Dad alone. I know Dad is very tired to bring me everywhere. I love Daddy.

Mother birthday on 4 April 2010

Today, Mom is feeling not well so we haven't gone out for celebration. Dad brought a Thomas cake for candle lighting. Thanks Dad.

Easter Holiday Day 1 to 3: Watching film and Church Camp

Before we went to the camp, Dad watched a film named Planet 51 with me.

Then, we took taxi to our camp site 道風山 at Shatin. In the first day, we had nothing to do. Just running around with my best friend Issac.

In the second day, dad and mom had a lesson so 楊姑娘 bought three of us, Issac and 思賢 to other place for playing. After lunch, I took a nap with mom. Dad was continuing his learning.

After dinner, we played again at the room of sister CC.

In the third day, we had Sunday service with other church members.

Overall, the camp is good. Dad and Mom can have a quiet time with God. They can get some cure from the teacher 麥姑娘. The food and environment are tidy and good. Of course, I can play with other children and eat some snacks.

Commercial Shooting on 29-30 Mar 2010

These two days, I have a chance for commercial shooting. What is the product? Milk powder.

This experience let me get along with many people and one of famous singer, Jacky Cheung. However, it is not a easy job. I worked from 8:30am to 9:30. Sometimes, I was so exhausted to continue the shooting. Some aunties there will motivate me by snacks and games.

The advertisement will be board casting in China and Taiwan. Dad will find it in internets.

Two hard working days = total $1000 = good memories and experiences with two toy cars.

This week, we went to a new place Mui Wo which is near Lantau Island.

Cheung Chau on 20 Mar 2010

This satuarday, we went to Cheung Chau again. Why will we always go to Cheung Chau? Because of mom, she loves the seafood there.

The first place, we always go, of course, the beach.

Aunti SH, next time, when you visit Hong Kong, let us go to Cheung Chau together. I can play with 晴晴 and 哲哲.

Then, while I stayed in library for story time, my parent enjoyed their seafood.

This time, we went up to 關公忠義亭 because my dad wants to see 櫻花.

English Drama at World Family on 13 Mar 2010

Today, we are busy because we are going to watch a English drama - Keep on trying.

After the music lesson, we went to library and science museum. My parent wanted to eat Korean BBQ. Then, we found one of BBQ restaurant nearby. After our stomach fulfilled, we went to the Hong Kong Polytechnic University to watch an annual drama held by World family. The theme of the drama is asking us keep on trying in our weakness.

Then, we went back home for nap. My parent brought some seafood. We have a wonderful home dinner tonight.

Ice Skating on 10 Mar 2010

Since Mom was back from Philippines, she brought me to ice skating lesson and took some pictures for me.

Now, I can step fast and skate a short distance.

Cheung Chau on 6 Mar 2010

We came to Cheung Chau again. While we're riding the boat, I was sleeping. When I was awake, my parent was eating their favorite spicy seafood. Dad bring me to the library for story time. There are only three kids. I enjoyed the story time very much. The teacher gave us a lovely chop. Thank you.

The teacher said I was so great because I could stay without parent and communicate with her smoothly.

Afterwards, we went to "張保仔洞". This is my first to go inside. Like an adventure. I like it. I successfully went via the hole. It was so dark and narrow but exciting. On the way to the hole, there are some dragon boat and drum. We can go up and take picture with them.

Then, we went to the beach. I played the truck with my mom. Finally, of course, before the boat time, I finished my cup of chocolate ice! Yummy!
